Short, because there is not much to say.
Who we are. This site is operated by Tacit Engine. The same site answers at tacitengine.com, which redirects here.
What is collected. Only what you type into the contact form (name, organization, email, optional phone, role, the engine patterns you are interested in, a timeframe, and your message), plus your IP address and browser type, which are used only to filter spam.
Where it goes. The form is delivered by email through Resend to ljbrown@tacitengine.ai. It is not stored in a database on this site. If you asked for one, an acknowledgement email is sent to you with a reference number.
Retention. Your request stays in our inbox until the conversation is over, and is deleted on request.
Demos and courses. Everything you type into a demo or a course lab stays in your browser and is gone when you leave the page. We count which demo actions and lab steps were used (for example, that a rule was captured), not what was typed.
Cookies and analytics. This site sets no tracking cookies and stores nothing in your browser. We keep our own first-party visit statistics: the page, the time, how long it was open, which demo actions were used, the referring site, a coarse location (city and country, from the network), and device and browser type. We do not store your IP address; visits are grouped by an anonymous code that is derived from it and changes every day, so visits cannot be linked across days or traced back to you. The statistics are not shared with anyone, and are deleted after about 13 months. The site's host, Vercel, also counts page views through its cookieless Web Analytics: the page, the referring site, and device, browser, and country, with visits grouped by a code that resets every day.
